November 22

Saturday

130 – 4 p

In this workshop, students will be guided through a practice to generate awareness, through a combination of soft and more opening Chi Kung movements designed to deepen understanding of subtle energetics.

As Yoga and Chi Kung practises deepen, practitioners begin to familiarize themselves
with the physical sensations associated with energetic flow, and enhance their ability to be open and perceive Chi, the underlying energy of the universe, present in each of us.

From this internal awareness, we can begin to re-find more complex expansive external movement patterns (that we once explored as children) and expand our energetic boundaries.

The approach to practice is always light hearted, involving a combination of eastern practices (Yoga, Movement, Chi Kung and relaxation.)

Some time will also be spent on the fundamentals of Chi Kung and therefore beginners are welcome.

James has been practising Yoga, Meditation, Cranial Sacral Therapy, Shamanic practices and Martial arts for more than 10 years. Since arriving from England in 2007, James has been teaching in the United States at Boundless Yoga.

september 20 – november 22
saturdays 12 – 115p

Join Jennifer for a thorough exploration of yoga asana through the teachings of living yoga master B.K.S. Iyengar.

In this structured 10-week course, you will get:

a detailed understanding of how to perform and sustain basic and intermediate yoga poses

an understanding of the physical-physiological and mental-emotional benefits of basic and intermediate poses. For example, how standing poses work simultaneously on increased strength and flexibility of the outer physical structure, while inversions work more on the hormonal systems, balancing mood and physiological functioning of the body.

an increased awareness and focus that compound the inherent benefits characteristic of each pose

Through this course you will learn to:

improve the execution of your posture

build your ability to objectively observe, apply, and change the body by conscious choice

become architecturally sound in your body

improve your body systems’ smooth functionality

stabilize and improve the quality of your mind and life

The class is capped at 10 students for an intimate atmosphere where each student can feel comfortable to explore and transform, ask questions, and get personal attention from Jennifer

The course provides the structure and consistency needed to deeply learn and apply the system of yoga asana in a comprehensive way.

recommended for people with 6 months to 1 year, or more of regular yoga practice. if unsure, please contact jennifer at jenkarius(at)gmail.com

We are extremely lucky to have Jennifer with us. She has been studying yoga within the Iyengar tradition for 19 years and has studied personally with Master Iyengar and his son and daughter. She has taught extensively in the netherlands and in San Francisco, including several years at the Iyengar Institute in Amsterdam.
