bag it

i have decided to set a goal: to get rid of at least half of the plastic bags wadded together like petroleum bush in my house by the end of the year, which i estimate can happen if i remember, 90-100% of the time, to take the canvas bags to the grocery store.

I have a car, so i will place two canvas bags to live in the car permanently, which, additionally, should decrease the chances of accumulating new plastic bags, especially from places like Rite Aid.

just burn the older ones, it’s quicker than letting them suffer in a landfill.

Kim, my great success with this happened when I started carrying around a Chico bag in my bag. That way I truly always have it with me even if I don’t have the car. You have to be super vigilant to remember to put it right back in your bag as soon as you empty out your purchases, but before long it will be second nature. I will bring one if for you tonight to class. They are so small and light and convenient and yet hold up to 20lbs of stuff.
