take this introductory overview of yoga to prepare yourself for basic level yoga classes at boundless and elsewhere. the class will provide a solid foundation in the basics to ensure correct posture and mind-body knowledge; a good foundation in the basics will also help to guard against injury.
in this weekly class you will learn: the basics of standing poses, seated poses, twists, backbends and forward bends; how to breathe ina yoga class; how to rest in a yoga class; and the overall purpose of yoa relative to other “exercise” and mind-body modalities. participants will receive handouts with specific at-home practices; descriptions and visuals of poses, breathing, and meditation techniques.
